THE STORY OF HIGH POINT YACHTING….
Three decades ago, the aspirations, expectations and desires of travellers were evolving, in a world that was beginning to invite them to expand their experiences, knowledge and passions through the internet. Our founder, Sasha King, caught sight of this change early on, and so High Point Yachting sprang to life as a small, boutique yacht charter agency organising crewed yacht charters firstly in Croatia then, in time, around the world.
From its origins, our overarching belief has been that travel should be awe-inspiring, exciting, intriguing, rejuvenating and memorable. High Point Yachting has grown, yet this belief has stayed the same. Organising bespoke yacht charters has become our forte, our obsession. We’re here to make perfection happen, in ways that are totally unique to you.
We see the world offering endless possibilities, because after all, everyone’s definition of a holiday is different. For us, our objective will always be about looking beyond a destination to the real-world interactions, the memorable moments to be had and how we make people feel while experiencing it all. Our knowledge of destinations, yachts and crews is a treasure trove. It means we know and can access those paths off the beaten track that are full of magic and can be transformative. The beauty of a crewed yacht charter is the freedom it gives—you can stick to well-known routes such as the Cyclades Islands in Greece or leave to explore lesser-known regions (Antarctica, Papua New Guinea, and more), as much as you like. Routes are tailored to create the sort of experiences that stir the heart and give you memories and stories to keep for life.
The great secret of our success in crafting these trips, comes down to one thing—our relationships. We invest time in getting to know our clients but also in building fantastic local networks, with crews around the world and with destination experts to ensure that you are paired with the perfect yacht for your charter. These relationships are invaluable. Our combined knowledge, enthusiasm and devotion to detail ensure that we create truly bespoke and original yachting experiences every time, whether exploring the Dalmatian islands in Croatia or swimming with rays in Indonesia. These destinations are incredibly beautiful, offering very different local experiences—sights, food, wine, people. We’re here to help you connect with communities, individuals, and perhaps most importantly, with yourselves and each other.
Of course, times have been extraordinary over the past few years and extraordinarily disruptive, but real freedom is back at our fingertips and experiential travel has never felt more appreciated. We are all getting back to being ourselves …But our eagerness to protect all that we have in this world is stronger than it has ever been. We are championing sustainability, safer and more responsible travel. There is always a deeper meaning to travel, and a deeper purpose to visiting all those places we travel to and to meeting all those people we come across. We are all in this together and we always will be.
Our website shows merely a flavour of High Point Yachting. It’s not a portfolio of everything we do, which would be too much to catalogue. Instead, you’ll find a small pool of example yachts, rafts of inspiration and invaluable articles filled with our first-hand knowledge. We have so much to share with you. Be filled by wanderlust then get in touch with us with your ideas so we can start creating your next travel experience.

SASHA KING
FOUNDER
Sasha was brought up in Croatia and spent most of the summers in her 20s sailing around the Adriatic. These summer sailing holidays, gave her the love and enthusiasm for her career. She moved to the UK in the late 1990s and worked for a few years in the travel industry before creating High Point Yachting, her own yachting business, one of the very few companies at the time specialized in bespoke yacht charters. She wanted to recreate for others the magical Mediterranean sailing holidays she had so enjoyed. These trips are incredible experiences with so much blended into them.
For Sasha, yacht charters are more than just luxurious holidays – they are experiences, capable of shifting the course of one’s life, just as they did for her. She thrives on collaborating with local partners across all destinations, believing that the shared knowledge and enthusiasm between them create the perfect foundation for delivering truly exceptional experiences for clients.
Sasha is one of the founders of the Croatian Yachting Association (CRO.Y.A.) and is an active member of the Charter Yacht Broker Association (CYBA), contributing directly to two association boards.
