The East Mediterranean Multihull & Yacht Charter Show (EMMYS), took place from 25th – 28th April 2024 in Poros, Greece. The show is organized by the Hellenic Professional Yacht Owners Association (HPYOA) alongside local authorities and industry partners, attracting over 300 brokers, 100 yachts, and 30 exhibitors from around 20 countries. Designed for the luxury yacht charter sector, this event showcases an impressive range vessels offered for charter in the Eastern Mediterranean. The show provides yacht charter brokers the chance to view the attending yachts, connect with their crew, and explore services for the upcoming summer season.
The town of Poros is a small, picturesque island in the Saronic Gulf of Greece. Known for its charming harbour, beautiful beaches, and lush pine forests, it is the perfect location to showcase what Eastern Greece has to offer. The island’s main town features neoclassical architecture and a vibrant waterfront with cafes and shops; great places for brokers to try the local restaurants to be able to recommend them to clients. It is also home to historically significant sites, such as the Temple of Poseidon. The yacht show was held along the town’s waterfront. Tucked into a natural harbour, it played the perfect host to all the visiting yachts.
Running throughout the show where exciting competitions for yachts to partake in. These included the renowned Chef’s Competition, Tablescaping Competition, and a “Going Green to Save the Blue” water challenge, which encourages plastic-free practices onboard.
The Chef’s Competition was split into two categories the Emerald Category and the Dimond Category. 14 yachts participated in the Emerald Category with the winner being Dimitris Fotopoulos of yacht FOR SAIL. Chef Georgios Spanakis of VYNO was awarded second place. In the Dimond category, chef Caro Uy of SKYLARK was awarded first place followed by Menu Ralli of ABOVE & BEYOND winning the second place.

Every year we attend the EMMYS we are struck by the number of amazing yachts on offer to clients. Every year they seem to raise the bar and their crews demonstrate that they step above what they could offer the previous year.
