Our top travel pick for 2025: Indonesia

At High Point Yachting, our objective has always been to go beyond recommending destinations, and to create real-world interactions and memorable moments for our guests. At the heart of everything we do, is a focus on how we make people feel as they embark on a journey with us. We strive to offer you the world’s most miraculous locations and experiences and Indonesia is just that. Miraculous.

For those seeking a truly out of the ordinary, remote, and memorable trip, head to the un-spoilt paradises of Indonesia. With so many unknown places to discover, Indonesia is a destination like no other—you have to see it to believe its beauty. Many of the 17,000 islands are best experienced by yacht. Navigate some of the most remote locations in the country, away from crowded areas, with little to no human contact. Experience UNESCO world heritage sites, mesmerising natural parks, and encounter cultures far removed from your own.

Indonesia offers not only one of the most ideal chartering locations, but also one of the most unique charter experiences- traditional Phinisi yachts, a style of yacht centuries old and unique to the Indonesian archipelago. Here are our top picks for Phinisi yachts that perfectly blend modern comfort with a traditional style that carries with it the true spirit of Indonesian culture.

– As part of your crew you will have a Cruise Director who will act as your host- they often are not Indonesian.

– Diving is available for those already PADI certified, i

– We suggest having a few days prior to getting on board to acclimatise to the new time zone so that you are able to get the most out of your charter. Bali is a great place to explore with airports that are international but also fly out to the smaller islands to board your yacht.

– Alcohol is very expensive in this part of the world, however you can bring your own alcohol with you or buy it at the airport.

The sheer diversity and richness of the Indonesian archipelago makes it our top destination for 2025. To explore more of what you could experience on a yacht charter in Indonesia, have a look at the links below and the Indonesia section of our website.
